As the United States sinks into socialism deeper and deeper with each new regulation and bureaucracy, we watch in disgust as the historic failure of socialism comes to America.
The current Federal Government is hell bent on creating a European Socialistic State out of the United States. Unless this government is stopped by an overwhelming rejection of the sitting members of the House and Senate coupled with the influx of new Senators and Representatives, dedicated to the re-institution of the true meaning of the words contained in the U.S. Constitution, we are in very deep trouble. Here’s why!
There can be no doubt in any one’s mind now, that this President was groomed for a media supported campaign to obtain the Presidency. There was already in place, large numbers in both Houses of Congress who were dedicated Progressive Socialists. They welcomed this President with open arms because as long as there was even a moderate Republican in the White House, they could not move forward with the Socialist agenda that they have been waiting to institute for more than 70 years.
This is not a new movement in America! We have been fighting Marxism and Socialism which could lead to Marxism since before World War I. That is when the Progressives started their campaign with the institution of the income tax and the Federal Reserve system.
We are watching the, hoped for, fruition of the Progressive plan in action every day, and every day we find ourselves asking this question. What are we doing as a Nation, wasting our precious wealth on stupid and ineffective programs and bail outs that are costing trillions of dollars we do not have?
Let me tell what we are doing! We are setting the stage for the collapse of the greatest nation this world has ever seen. Our strength comes from the wealth and determination of our people, not the profligate spending by our government on ridiculous programs and new huge bureaucracies.
This is not anything but a pre-determined plan to bring the United States to its knees by weakening us from our roots of capitalist wealth. It has been that wealth that has allowed us to create new technologies, both for the health of our people and the destruction of our enemies. Without that wealth, our military will not be able to meet the demands placed on our nation by terrorist states and Marxists around the world who wish us ill.
As the economy continues to sink , so does our ability to fund technology and the military. Soon; and we are already seeing signs of this; we will not be able to focus enough military strength in areas of very serious concern because we simply do not have the men or material to confront the number of threats we face. We are now engaged in two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that are consuming our military capability. In the meantime, other enemies in North Korea and Iran continue to become nuclear threats. You have now witnessed with the torpedoing of the South Korean gun boat with the deaths of 46 or our allies and we are reduced to complaining to the United Nations. That is tantamount to running to the teacher when you have been punched in the nose in the school yard. It may feel good, but what you don’t understand is that the teacher supports the guy who punched you.
We have been reduced to whining to the “international community” because we are too weak to take care of our own business.
Aside from military considerations is the tragic effects our economy is having on our people. Millions of previously well employed middle class and white collar workers are now on extended unemployment benefits or have taken a job that pays far less than they earned previously. Why is that happening?
The answer is as plain as the nose on your face if you will just admit to yourself what a huge mistaken tragedy we have created with this Government.
Government spending will never save the American economy. It is and always has been powerless to do so. Oh, they can offer help when a tragedy occurs like a hurricane or earthquake or flood, but they cannot ratchet up our economy by spending on temporary road and bridge construction and the like. The American economy can only thrive in an atmosphere of business friendly regulation by the government and there is no way the government can regulate the economy back to health.
Only the American people can bring this economy back to life. Well then, why aren’t they doing that? That is painfully clear, they are more scared of our government than at any time since the Great Depression and they are frozen in panic.
The title of this blog is, “A Fighter Pilot Speaks” because I want to bring you a view of things as I see them from the perspective of a Fighter Pilot. In the Fighter Pilot arena there is no room for B.S. You either do it or you die. A night carrier landing is the most challenging thing that any Naval Aviator is asked to do and here I am forty five years later and I still have never done anything in my life since that time that has challenged me half as much.
So, it is with that clarity of mind that I try to tell you what is really happening to our nation. A nation that I love. It pains me deeply to see us falling into this socialistic dead end. As an aviator you learn this simple fact early on. ” I am alone in this aircraft and if something goes wrong, I am going to have to stay cool and focused on the problem or I just might die, today”. The stakes don’t get any higher than that.
I say this because the worst thing you can do in an aircraft emergency is to panic. It is almost always a sure path to destruction. I have seen it and I know it is true.
So if, as a nation, we are in a panic over the state of our nation, what does that mean. Panic causes indecision and indecision causes things to spiral out of control as you sit frozen in fear. That is what you are seeing today in our economy. The producers of our nation see that we are being taken in directions that we should never go and never wanted to go. Obama care is a perfect example. If that law is allowed to stand on the books, we are faced with enormous new costs far in excess of what they promised you at the time the stuffed it down our throats.
We need to take control of the situation and correct the problem. Only in that way can we hope to survive as a great power in this world. If we stay frozen in fear and our economy continues to weaken, we will be relegated to the trash heap of history and become just another “has been” power like Great Britain and France.
